A Puna man was arrested Wednesday after he reportedly stabbed a man in the neck at a Puna subdivision.
A Puna man was arrested Wednesday after he reportedly stabbed a man in the neck at a Puna subdivision.
Hawaii police responded at 12:26 a.m. to reports of a stabbing attack at Hawaiian Paradise Park. The victim, a 34-year-old Puna man, was found with multiple stab wounds to the neck.
The victim was transported to Hilo Medical Center in serious but stable condition, before being medivaced to The Queen’s Medical Center on Oahu for further treatment.
The suspect, identified as 32-year-old Michael Potee, was arrested and charged with second-degree assault. Potee reportedly shared a home with the victim.
The police investigation into the incident is ongoing.
